HINDRANCES TO SERVING THE LORD

The call is always out that we are born to serve the Lord but very few people are actually serving Him. Why is it like that? We shall consider some reasons why many people are not serving the Lord.

1. Lack of salvation experience
2. Lack of proper knowledge of God
3. Lack of knowledge about the end of sinners
4. Lack of knowledge about the reward of those who serve
5. Lack of relevant experiences
6. Lack of knowledge of relevant Bible passages
7. Lack of transparent Christian living
8. Lack of knowledge about the end of those who refuse to serve the Lord

Matthew 4: 19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
Matthew 11: 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Matthew 15: 14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
2 Peter 3: 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Luke 12: 47 And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. 48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
