UTILIZING THE GREAT WEAPON

We know that FAITH is a very powerful weapon of believers and the Bible puts it clearly as “But without faith it is impossible to please him:” Heb 11: 6

FAITH is so important that if only we can have it all things will be possible – Mark 9:23   Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Your FAITH can move mountains, dry the sea and bring water out of the rock.

To a man of FAITH there is no limitation, hindrances or impossibility –

Mar 11:23  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24  Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. 

Knowledge Is The Foundation Of FAITH.

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

There must be the knowledge of God, His abilities and capabilities and there must be knowledge of self and the position we occupy in Christ.

With that at the back of our mind, we must have the knowledge about the two superpowers that are controlling everything we see.

Nothing happens for nothing. In the reality, there is no accident.

Since we have been reading the Bible, we have known some of the stories of the Bible and we then can see the hand of God in many things.

God and Satan are controlling this world and the facts remain the same whether you believe it or not.

The great weapon therefore is the knowledge that this world and everything we see, hear, or feel are being controlled by God or Satan.

When this knowledge is utilized, then a terrific propelled FAITH is released and the incredible starts to happen.

Let Us Consider Some Cases

1. The rain at the time of Noah may be seen as global warming by scientists.
2. Jacob did not know his uncle’s house but he was able to walk into his town
3. Laban was coming to fight Jacob, why did he cool dawn before reaching Jacob?
4. For Esau to come to meet Jacob with 400 soldiers meant that he was coming to fight –Genesis 32:6  And the messengers returned to Jacob, saying, We came to thy brother Esau, and also he cometh to meet thee, and four hundred men with him.
5. When Esau met Jacob, why didn’t he carry out his mission?
6. Why did Rachel died at her delivery time – Genesis 31:32 With whomsoever thou findest thy gods, let him not live: before our brethren discern thou what is thine with me, and take it to thee. For Jacob knew not that Rachel had stolen them.
7. Why is it that the same Pharaoh that planned the death of Hebrew boys was the same one that sponsors Moses?
8. Why did Abimelech wanted to marry Sarah?
9. Why did Pharaoh plan to eradicate the Jews?
10. Why was Haman so bitter against the Jews?
11. Why did Herod want to kill the baby?
12. How could three armies face one and another until they finished themselves?

2Ch 20:22  And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten. 23  For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another. 24  And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped. 

1. How is it that a small stone in the hand of a small boy could kill a mighty giant?
2. How come that the stone was directed to the only unprotected sport on Goliath?
3. David was almost arrested by Saul but he could not – why?

1Sa 23:26  And Saul went on this side of the mountain, and David and his men on that side of the mountain: and David made haste to get away for fear of Saul; for Saul and his men compassed David and his men round about to take them. 27  But there came a messenger unto Saul, saying, Haste thee, and come; for the Philistines have invaded the land. 

1. David was in a cave with his soldiers and Saul came inside to sleep without knowing that people were inside.  – 1Samuel 24: 3 – 4
2. David went into the camp of Saul and his well-equipped soldiers were all asleep – 1Samuel 26: 5 – 12
3. Saul was to be made king. He did not know and Samuel did not know Saul yet they met
4. By shouting the walls of Jericho came down, what power did it?
5. Ruth went to glean and she found herself in the farm of Boaz without knowing him Ruth 2: 2, 3
6. The Syrians’ army woke up in the early morning and ran away without taking any of their properties – what caused it? 2Kings 7: 6

We can go on and on if you read the news on the electronics and print media, you will see and hear things that are difficult to understand or explain.

We Must Understand These Things

1. We must have the knowledge that God or Satan controls everything
2. We need to know the position of Satan –
3. The prince of this world
4. The power of the air
5. The god of this world
6. We need to know his abilities
7. He can control the mind of people against their knowledge
8. With the power of Jesus, he still tempted Him
9. He arranged for Herod to imprisoned Peter
10. He hindered Paul in his missionary journey
11. We must know that God has the overruling power
12. With all the careful plans of Haman, God used Esther to turn everything upside down
13. Herod was so sure that the following day he would kill Peter and the following day Peter was nowhere to be found

UTILIZING THE POWER

When you are equipped with this knowledge, you will then know how to pray and what to expect in prayer.

1. Jehoshaphat heard about the three armies that had come against him and he knew that God could change things around so he prayed.
2. Hannah was barren and she should have believed that it was God that had closed her womb but she went to God and everything changed.
3. Hezekiah took the case of Sennacherib to the Lord even though there was no king that had escaped from his hand before.
4. The three Hebrew children believed that God would do something so they stood their ground.
5. Daniel did not fear the lions’ dens because of the confidence in God
6. Moses saw the same things that others saw and they were weeping, yet, he talked with confidence and faith.
7. Joshua could stop the sun
8. Elijah could stop rain and called fire from heaven.

This is the level God is leading us to and Jesus came to show it to us.

JESUS’ EXAMPLES

1. He walked on the water
2. He turned water into wine
3. He healed chronic sicknesses
4. He drove away demons
5. He set the captives free
6. He fed thousands with a boy’s food
7. He resurrected the dead and even dead and buried Lazarus was called back from the grave.

Joh 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13  And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. 

Joh 16:23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. 24  Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. 

Mar 11:22  And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24  Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. 

James 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Remember that JESUS HAS OVERRULING POWER.
