THE PRODIGAL SON’S EXPERIENCE
Luke 15: 11 – 24
When you turn away from God you feel that it’s the right choice at the time. You are happy and feel free. Free to live without rebuke, correction, supervision, and direction.
Yes you are free to do what you like, but are you truly free? Do you really enjoy yourself?
Is this what you thought you will have when you left God, His word, His servants, His people, His work, and His house, Church?
My friend, what is your present experience?
Just like the prodigal son in the Bible, it is a life of misery.
Let me list a few of the experiences of such people.
You may add to the list, as you personally can feel the danger of turning away from God.
RETURN TO GOD
Though you have left God, your case is not hopeless. You can trace your step back to God. Do just what the prodigal son did.
He came to himself
He hated his condition
He decided for a change “I will arise and go to my father”
He was sober and sorry
He arose and came to his father – he repented
He confessed his sins “I have sinned”.
The joyful thing is that the father received him back joyfully. “When he was yet a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him”
Beloved take the same steps outlined above.
Just bow down your head right where you are with sincerity, determination, and heart of repentance and confess your sins to God. Ask for forgiveness, mercy and acceptance.
Just surrender your life to God. Ask the blood of Jesus to cleanse you.
Tell Him to accept you back as His child
Be sure with open hands He will receive you.
He will forgive you and clothe you with His righteousness and give you peace and joy.
CONGRATULATIONS
WELCOME BACK
