THE POWER OF HELPERS
When God created the world, He also made a “help meet” for him.
Genesis 2:18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
Man is not expected to live, work or do anything in isolation.
We must develop our human relationship so that we have men and women around us as helpers.
We shall see some cases in the bible so as to see The Power Of Helpers.
JOSEPH
Somebody introduce Joseph to the king because he had helped the person freely before. He had built relationship, when his day of breakthrough came, there was somebody to help him.
SAUL
1 Samuel 10:26 And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and there went with him a band of men, whose hearts God had touched.
God knew that Saul would need helpers so He had prepared them before he was anointed.
DAVID
David needed to go to the palace to learn the life there, God created tie opportunity for him and somebody had to introduce him to the king. That was a helper.
David ran into the wilderness because Saul was planning to kill him and God directed some men to join him and they were the great men God used to fight for the kingdom in later years. See the power of helpers.
When the enemies came to carry away the wives and children of David and his soldiers, it was a helper that God used to help them locate the enemies. This was another example of the power of helper.
The widow woman.
2Ki 4:1 Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen. 2 And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil. 3 Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few. 4 And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full. 5 So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out. 6 And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed. 7 Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.
She went to the man of God, some people will not share their problems with others, she did and it helped her. It is human beings that God will use to help you.
Her children were used to help her collect vessels of oils and to assist her in the execution of her miracle. For some of us, our children cannot even help us.
She had some neighbours she could borrow the vessels from. Do you have neighbours who will joyfully help you on the day of your breakthrough? Build relationship whatever it will cost you, it worth+ it.
Romans 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
If you do not build friends, on the day of your miracles or on the day of your breakthrough, who are the people that God will use?
PETER
Luke 5:1 And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret, 2 And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets. 3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship. 4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. 5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. 6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. 7 And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.
On the day of breakthrough for Peter, he could beckon to his friends to come and help him with their boat. If he was not in good relationship with them, he would not be able to call them and if he did, they would not have answered.
You need people in your life.
You may say that many people had highly disappointed you, so I am and every other person around.
Remember, there was only one Judas among the twelve disciples. So, wherever you see a Judas, there are eleven other disciples. Yes, you might have been meeting the Judases all the time, you will be meeting the other eleven very soon.
There are people that are bad, very bad and there are those that are good also. God can decide to use Satan to help you because He is the Controller General of the universe. He can do and undo. Do not trust the people but trust God and He will use the people to help you.
Work on your character, behaviour and how you take and response to offenses.
Peter denied Jesus Christ on three occasions but Jesus did not throw him away. On the day of Pentecost, it was Peter. In the early chapters of the book of Acts, it was Peter, Peter, and Peter.
In this world, nobody is totally bad and nobody is totally good. Do not allow the actions and reactions of people to change you. Be yourself and allow God to use the people to help you.
Pray that your helpers will locate you and those who are to advertise you will not rest until they finish their work.
Remember; 1 Kings 17:4 And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.
1 Kings 17:9 Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.
GOD WILL COMMAND YOUR HELPERS TO COME
