SELF-DECEPTION IS DANGEROUS.
Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
Many of us are living in the fools’ paradise today just because we make our minds to believe in error. The greatest help you can do to yourself is to be sincere to yourself. If you deceive others, that is bad, but to deceive yourself is not only sinful but also dangerous. If people are deceiving you, sometimes you will discover it but when you are deceiving yourself, your heart will become hardened and you may feel all right.
Samson – Judges 16: 20, 21 Samson thought that he could sleep in Delilah’s laps and wake up with the power of God. You cannot eat your cake and have it. He lost everything he had beginning with his eyes and he died with the uncircumcised.
A self-deceiver is a hypocrite because he will project to others a false projection of himself. A self-deceiver does not live a simple life because he has to cover many things so that people will not know the reality,
The end of a self-deceiver is fatal, dangerous and destructive.
Matthew 7:21-23 Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
