POWERLESS POWER
When we hear about powerless-power, we will say that if it is powerless then it has no power. True, it has no power but those who are using it do not agree until it fails them.
If you are an ignorant person, when somebody gives you a fake currency you may not know. You will also spend to buy things or pay for things from an ignorant people like yourself until you meet somebody who knows the difference. So is the powerless-power.
The dispensers and customers of powerless-power are as ignorant those carrying fake currencies around.
Powerless-powers are in stages and categories. They are different in types, efficacy and limitations. Some can counteract and nullify the others.
Types of powerless-powers and their source are –

1. Witchcraft power
2. Marine power
3. Idolatrous power
4. Juju or jars power
5. Demonic power of different levels of demons
   The capacity of these powers are dictated by the type of demon that is backing it up.
   Why are they referred to as powerless-power?
6. They are fake copies of the original power.
7. They disappoint when you need them most.
8. You pay too much to get too little or nothing.
9. Their claims are far higher than what they can do.
10. Other powerless-powers can render them useless.
11. The sacrifice to update them is not a joke at all.
12. There is always a reproach that follow any person having powerless-powers.
13. The users live in perpetual fear and insecurity.
14. The users live secret lives. Some cannot even allow their marriage partners to know about what they are using.
15. Their end is always disastrous. They suffer before they die and they go to eternal damnations.

SOME CASES TO CONSIDER

1. With all the demonic and idolatrous powers of Sodom and Gomorrah, they could not resist the judgment of God on them.
2. With three hundred soldiers, that were home-grown army of Abraham, he defeated five mighty armies with their powers.
3. The magicians, astrologers, and all the rest of them, could not stop the plagues that Moses unleashed on Egypt from stage to stage.
4. Goliath cursed David by his gods and none of those powers could save him from the hand of a boy called David.
5. David defeated the Philistines and burnt their idols that they brought to the battle ground
   2 Samuel 5:20 And David came to Baalperazim, and David smote them there, and said, The LORD hath broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the breach of waters. Therefore he called the name of that place Baalperazim. 21 And there they left their images, and David and his men burned them.
   They so much trusted the powers of those idols that they brought them to the battle ground. David killed all of them and burnt their idols. Are they not powerless-powers?
6. The god of the Philistines fell to the ground in front of the ark of God 1Sam 5: 1 – 4
7. With all the zeal, devotion and sacrifice of the prophets of Baal, Elijah challenged them and killed them. He first of all ridiculed them before handling them.
   1Ki 18:27 And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked. 28 And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them. 29 And it came to pass, when midday was past, and they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that there was neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any that regarded.
8. With all the powers of Sennacherib, king of Assyrians, only one angel of God killed one hundred and eighty five thousand of their choice soldiers and he died from the hands of his own children in the house of his god. Where is the power?
9. Some of these types of power will help you to get wealth, popularity, position, marriage and so on. Yet you cannot get joy, peace, satisfaction and your security is with question mark. Where is the power?
10. Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Mark 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
    Whether you belief it or not, you will die and go somewhere after death. Whatever that power gives you in this world and then you suffer numberless years after, what is the sense in it?
11. The man or man helping you to get power so that you will not die, will he or she live forever? The man or woman helping you to get power to be wealth, how many planes or ships does he or she has?
12. Proverbs 25:19 Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.
    Those who patronize these powers have so much confidence in it so that they can boast and talk with boldness. Where is Gadhafi, Abacha, Sad am and the rest of them with all their powers?

Be wise. Go into history and see the end of all the users of such powers. How did their lives ended? Many of them die shameful death and with terrible reproach on their family members.
Will you not think twice?
Why will you carry fake when the original is very easy to get?
Jesus said,
Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Mar 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

1. With all the demonic powers in Egypt, they could not interpret the king’s dreams until Joseph got there.
2. With ordinary stone in the name of the God of Israel, Goliath and his army were defeated.
3. With prayer and obedience to the instructions of God, David routed out all the Philistine’s army. 2Sam 5: 18 – 25
4. With prayer and confidence in God, Jehoshaphat saw the destructions of three mighty armies 2Chrnicles 20: 20 – 24
5. With prayer, Hannah who had been barren for years had her story changed.
6. With word of authority, Elijah locked the heavens for three and a halve years.
7. Simon the sorcerer saw the simplicity of the power of God and he offered money to receive it.
   Acts Act 8:18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, 19 Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.
8. The Ephesians saw the raw power of God and brought their powerless-power out to be burnt with fire. Act 19:18 And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds. 19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.
   Why will you not throw away that powerless-power and embrace the real power that is free?
   Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
   Whatever you are looking for is in Christ. Jesus is the answer to all problems of man.
   It is very simple.
   Confess your sins to God and ask Him to forgive you in the name of Jesus. As you live daily for Him, He will carry you through.
   Remember your security is secured with Christ.
   Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
   Psalms 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
   Psalms 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
   Psalms 68:1 Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.
   Psalms 84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
   Psa 91:3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. 8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
   Psa 118:10 All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD will I destroy them. 11 They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD I will destroy them. 12 They compassed me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the LORD I will destroy them. 17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.
   Psa 125:1 They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth forever. 2 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even forever.

PRAYER POINTS
I. Every power of demons or witches working against me, I nullify you in the name of Jesus.
II. Every juju power or marine power sent against me, I paralyze you now in Jesus’ name.
III. Power of the Living God, envelop me in the day and night in Jesus’ name.
