THE SUICIDE VENTURE

Suicide is self-murder “…and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.” 1 John 3:15 

Many people today commit suicide in different ways.

1. When you do not eat well or not eating the right food. Some types of food or drinks kill gradually but steadily.
2. If you do not drink enough water, you are killing yourself because you will destroy major organs of the body which can lead to death.
3. When you do not sleep enough or not sleep well – God repairs our brain when we are sleeping and a lot of things are done while we are sleeping. So when you do not sleep well you are killing yourself.

All these lead to untimely death but the greatest of all problem is sorrow.

Many had committed murder, suicide and a lot of atrocities because of sorrow.

Sorrow Can Be Caused By

1. Disappointments
2. Seeing the wrong side of life
3. Unmet promises
4. Goals not being reached
5. Feelings that God and friends are far away from you or had even neglected you.
6. Thinking nobody loves you anymore.
7. Seeing yourself as a failure
8. Sicknesses that are not going away.
9. Poverty and evading success
10. Thinking that you worth more than you are receiving.
11. Laziness that leads to under performance
12. Rebuke from where you are expecting appreciation.
13. When arrested by enemies and no guarantee for coming out.

Any of these and many more can cause sorrow and sadness of heart.

Sorrow and sadness had been very deadly to man since the foundation of the world.

Actions and responsibility of Sorrow and Sadness

1. Destroys marriages
2. Poisons the blood
3. Makes you to eat anyhow
4. Destroys your strength
5. Hinders human relationship
6. Destroys and paralyses visions
7. Kills ideas
8. Shatters hope
9. Makes courage to disappear
10. Suicide thoughts are born
11. Sense of worthlessness are developed
12. Life becomes meaningless
13. Satan and his agents are given open doors into our lives.
14. Sleeplessness becomes the normal life
15. Trust in God and man is totally destroyed

Sorrow is a killer, kill it before it kills you.

Job 17:7 Mine eye also is dim by reason of sorrow, and all my members are as a shadow.

Sorrow affects visions and how we see things.

Psalms 127:2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.

Sorrow does not solve any problem.

Proverbs 15:13 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

Sorrow destroys vital organs of human body.

Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

Proverbs 12:25 Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.

Joy and happiness are the opposite of sorrow.

Sorrow and fear are products of wrong sight and wrong vision.

Come to Jesus. Have the vision of life, rich life in Christ Jesus and start to see yourself as Christ sees you and you will totally bury your sorrow and give birth to joy.

Do not kill yourself by allowing sorrow in your life when it is free to be happy in Christ.
