THE LIFE OF VICTORY

Victory is what everybody wants but cannot get. All Christians are supposed to have victory but they do not, why?

Every adult is entitled to have driving license but we do not all have it.

Every citizen is entitled to have international passport, how many of us have it?

There are conditions to be met before you can have victory.

Know and recognize it that Jesus had paid the price so, it is now in your hands to receive and enjoy it. “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” 1John 5:4

From this bible verse, the first step to be able to have victory in life is to be born into the family of God. Remember – “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” 1 John 3:8 – according to the word of God, every sinner and any sinner is a property of Satan. So, as long as there is any sin in your life, you belong to Satan and you are a slave to sin. So, you can never have victory.

To become a child of God is so simple, just confess your sins to God and ask Shim to forgive you in the name of Jesus. See these references-

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Immediately you carry out your part, God will make you His child right away. If you are born of God, if you are a Christian, you must overcome the world.

To have victory, you must fight sorrow. Sorrow present you as a fatherless child which is a disgrace to God. Sorrow comes because of what you are looking at, how you see things and your interpretation of the situation that is making you sad.

Sadness, sorrow closes your brain. When you are sorrowful, you cannot think well and you cannot pray in the right direction. As you fight sin, so fight sorrow with all your strength because both of them are killers.

Jesus is The Captain of our salvation, so to have victory we must focus on Him.

Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

 He is our burden bearer and He understand the feelings of our infirmities.

How can you have victory?

Know who you are –

Know yourself on the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual areas. These will inform your actions and reactions that brings victory.

Majority of believers do not see themselves as God sees them. God saw Gideon as a mighty man while he saw himself as a fearful man. So, for you to have victory, you must see yourself the way God sees you.

Lastly, you must know and use the promises of God. He cannot fail therefore His words cannot fail.

Learn to pray with authority as Jesus commanded us.

Elijah did that and enjoyed victory.

David did that and enjoyed victory.

So you can enjoy victory over sin, Satan and every circumstances on every day of your life.

Rise up and walk in the liberty wherein Christ has made you FREE.
