NEW YEAR NEW LIFE
Isa 43:18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. 20 The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen. 21 This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.

REMEMBER
Psalms 105:5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
Several times in the book of Psalms, David and the other psalmists do just that, recounting Israel’s history and the spectacular things the Lord had done.

• In the present, remembering what God has done draws us into worship. Praising the name of the Lord is the right and proper response to His activity in our lives. That was true in biblical times, and it’s just as true today.
• As we step into the future, recalling God’s work in this world—both the expected and unexpected, the seen and unseen—gives us faith for what He will do next. Our trust in the Lord grows when we take time to remember He has always been faithful.
  REFOCUS
  At the beginning of a new year, people often take stock of their life. They assess their past decisions and consider the trajectory they’re now on. That makes January an especially good time to call people back to what matters most.
   Where are you going?
   How do you want to get there?
   What are the things needed on the way?
