There are many things we do in life that is purely man oriented. Marriage is God’s institution and it is the second establishment after farming.

God created the Garden of Eden and filled it with ALL things that man would ever need.

So, farming (ANIMAL AND PLANT) was the most primitive establishment followed by marriage. Yet marriage is the most misunderstood institution in life.

People try to handle marriage in their own ways and that is why majority of the breakdown in the world today come from broken marriages.

In marriage especially in Nigeria, men will say that because they paid the dowry of the women, their wives must obey them.

Let us read what God said –

Ephesians 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

We Shall Compare Marriage To Ownership Of Car.

The husband paid the dowry and a man bought a car.

The car is totally submissive to the owner.

For the owner to enjoy the submission of the car, he must do the following things very well.

1. Regular maintenance of the car
2. Fuelling the car
3. Lubricating every needed part on a regular basis
4. Making sure the tyres are alright every time.
5. The engine oil must be alright and it has to be checked regularly.
6. The other oils like brake fluid, clutch oil, steering oil, and gear oil must be checked regularly.
7. The water in the water tank must be checked every day to be sure that the radiator is well supplied.
8. While the owner is driving, he has to pay attention to any unusual sound and any misbehaviour from any area of the car.
9. The owner will do internal and external beautification regularly.
10.  Very good care and attention is giving to our cars for them to serve us effectively.

Now, How Much Attention Do We Give To Our Wives?

• How do we care for every detail of their lives?
• If any man will care for his wife the way they care for their cars, this world will become a better place.
