God created man as a master piece and Satan came to destroy the man that is a super master of God’s
creation. Today, man has voluntarily become a slave of sin and he is at the mercies of Satan and the
demonic spirits for them to handle anyhow. If we can just know who we are and what we are capable of
doing, Satan will be put to shame in us and in our life forever.
Self-recognizing is compulsory for any meaningful thing to be done in life. Failure, defeat and
disappointments are the result of not knowing who we are. You are not an accident in this world and
God has a program of success for your life – Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward
you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Let us examine some area that can define us on the physical rhyme.
1. Who are you?
2. Who is your father/mother?
3. What tribe or nation are you from?
4. What ability or gift do you have?
5. What knowledge do you have?
There are positions we have that are natural and the greatest position is the spiritual position. You must
realize who you are in Christ if you are born again.
John 1: 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even
to them that believe on his name:
John 8: 36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Romans 8: 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15. For ye
have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption,
whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the
children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be
that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Judges 6:11 And there came an angel of the LORD, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah,
that pertained unto Joash the Abiezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to
hide it from the Midianites. 12. And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him,
The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour. 13. And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord,
if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our
fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath
forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites. 14. And the LORD looked upon
him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites:
have not I sent thee?
We need to define our positions
1. The FALSE (Deceived) Position
Jdg 16:20 And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and
said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the LORD was
departed from him. 21 But the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to
Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house.
2. The IGNORANT Position – Gideon did not know who he was until God revealed it to him
because he was ignorant of his position.
3. The REALIZED Position Luke 15: 17 – 20 – the prodigal son is a good is a good
example of somebody who suddenly realized his position of sonship.
4. The BLESSED Position – this is the position of the redeemed if only they will realize it and
enjoy it. Let us see some examples of those who knew their positions and used them
I. David 1Samuel 17: 45 – 51; 26: 3 – 12 II. Elijah 1Kings 17: 1 – 4; 18: 22 – 39
III. The three Hebrew children Daniel 3: 16 – 30 IV. Elisha 2Kings 2: 13 – 15
V. Daniel Dan 1: 8 – 16; 2: 14 – 23; 6: 10 – 24 VI. Paul Acts 13: 6 – 12
For you to know and operate in your blessed position, you need to know the word of God and the
promises that stand for you, we shall take few promises. As you read through them, meditate seriously
on them and stand where God stands.
1. Psalms 92:12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in
2. Psalms 2:8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost
parts of the earth for thy possession.
3. Isaiah 45:11 Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to
come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.
4. Psalms 125:1 They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed,
but abideth for ever. 2. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about
his people from henceforth even for ever. 3. For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot
of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.
5. Psalms 138:8 The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth
for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.
6. Psalms 121:4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
7. Psalms 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit
in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
8. Psalms 84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no
good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
9. Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall
rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD,
and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
10. Zechariah 2:8 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations
which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.
11. Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things
as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Isa 54:15  Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake. 16  Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. 17  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

It is precious to be born again and belong to the kingdom of God.

God is greater than any ad every weapon of the enemies, so, He can boldly say that “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; ….”   Isa 54:17

Sin is the chain of Satan. Once you are living in sin you are in captivity of Satan. You cannot command your master.

Immediately you confess your sins to God and ask for forgiveness   in the name of Jesus, your sins will be forgiven you and then you will become the child of the Kingdom.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Immediately you become a child of the kingdom, you can claim this beautiful promise – “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; ….”   Isa 54:17

We shall see some people in the Bible and see how the weapons of their enemies could not prosper.

  1. Potiphar Against Joseph

His weapon was imprisonment without terms. Joseph had no family, friend or sympathizer who could have fought for him.

At that time, it was as if God was not there. God used the weapon of Potiphar to link Joseph to the palace. So, the weapon of Potiphar did not prosper against Joseph.

  1. Pharaoh At The Red Sea

His weapons were chariots, horses, horse-men, selected soldiers, swords, spears, bow and arrows, and other ones. He was so sure that with those weapons, he would totally finish the Israelites.

By the following morning, he and all he had had sank into the sea.

Exo 15:1  Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea. 2  The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him. 3  The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name. 4  Pharaoh’s chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea5 The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone

Pharaoh’s weapons against the children of Israel could not prosper.

  1. Goliath

1Sa 17:4 And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span. 5 And he had an helmet of brass upon his head, and he was armed with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of brass. 6 And he had greaves of brass upon his legs, and a target of brass between his shoulders. 7 And the staff of his spear was like a weaver’s beam; and his spear’s head weighed six hundred shekels of iron: and one bearing a shield went before him.

1Sa 17:43 And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.

Goliath came to the battle field well prepared.

  • His stature was terrific.
  • His weapons and armour were very terrible and above that,
  • He also came with his gods.

So, he had comprehensive weapons against the children of Israel.

God sent a boy to render all his weapons totally useless with only one stone.

Goliath’s weapons could not prosper against the children of Israel.

  1. Jeroboam

1Ki 13:4  And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, which had cried against the altar in Bethel, that he put forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him. 5  The altar also was rent, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of the LORD. 6  And the king answered and said unto the man of God, Intreat now the face of the LORD thy God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again. And the man of God besought the LORD, and the king’s hand was restored him again, and became as it was before.

Jeroboam’s weapon was his authority. He could order the arrest and execution of the man of God. So, he used his weapon and commanded the arrest and right away his hand withered. He started to beg the man of God who later prayed for him and his hand became normal right away.

His weapon could not prosper against the man of God.

  1. Nebuchadnezzar

Dan 3:19  Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated. 20  And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace. 21  Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. 22  Therefore because the king’s commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. 23  And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. 24  Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. 25  He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. 26  Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire. 27  And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king’s counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them. 28  Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.

His weapons were, authority, strong men, ropes and furnace of fire. The fire was terrible and terrifying.

So, he used his authority to command the very strong men in the army to bind them and throw them with their dresses into the fire.

To show how deadly the fire was, the very strong men were killed by the heat of the fire.

Only the ropes of Nebuchadnezzar were burnt, Jesus joined them in the fire and the boastful king now had to address them as the servants of the Most High God.

All the weapons could not prosper against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

  1. Herod

Act 12:5  Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

Act 12:6  And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.

Act 12:7  And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.

Act 12:8  And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.

Act 12:9  And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision.

Act 12:10  When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him.

Act 12:11  And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.

Act 12:12  And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying.

Act 12:13  And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda.

Act 12:14  And when she knew Peter’s voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate.

Act 12:15  And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel.

Act 12:16  But Peter continued knocking: and when they had opened the door, and saw him, they were astonished.

Act 12:17  But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, Go shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went into another place.

Act 12:18  Now as soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers, what was become of Peter.

Act 12:19 And when Herod had sought for him, and found him not, he examined the keepers, and commanded that they should be put to death. And he went down from Judaea to Caesarea, and there abode.

You can see again that the weapons of Herod could not prosper, instead of him to kill Peter, he rather killed his faithful soldiers.

Peter escaped and continued his ministry.

In all the examples, the enemies truly gathered. The manufacturers of the weapon did very fine work but God created the wasters to waste and destroy the weapons.

Do not fear any weapon but focus on Christ. His word is yea and amen.

Whatever enemy is challenging you right now, just stand on the unshakeable word of God and declare the weapons useless and paralyzed in the mighty name of Jesus

The Power Of Resurrection

Joh 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

Jesus is the POWER of Resurrection. Wherever \Jesus entered, death normally runs away. Let us take some examples

  1. The Widow Woman

Luke 7:11  And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people. 12  Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her. 13  And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not. 14  And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. 15  And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.

Widow’s only son was dead and was brought back to life because they met Jesus as on the way to burial ground.

  1. Lazarus

John 11:38  Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it. 39  Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days. 40  Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? 41  Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. 42  And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. 43  And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. 44  And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

Lazarus was dead and buried for four days but when Jesus got there, he was resurrected because the POWER of Resurrection had visited them.

  1. Jairus Daughter

Mar 5:35  While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further? 36  As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe. 37  And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James. 38  And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly. 39  And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth. 40  And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying. 41  And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise. 42 And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.

By the time Jesus entered Jairus house, they were already weeping and wailing for the girl. Jesus brought the girl back to life.

With these three examples, we can see that Jesus meant what He said – John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

Just as He was, so He is and so He shall be forever.

Let us look at ourselves and see the areas where we need the visitation of Christ.

  1. Dead Organs In Our Body – Mal functioning liver and kidney, cancer in the different parts that is eating up the body organs, HIV/AIDS, TB and many other organ consuming sicknesses and diseases.

Jesus is still the POWER of Resurrection.

Do you know that when He was resurrecting the dead that He did not pray over the sicknesses that killed them.

The widow’s son, Jairus daughter, and Lazarus were all sick before they died but Jesus only commanded them to come back to life.

If you will believe and lay your hand on the areas of the dead or dying organs and let your Hands represent the hands of Jesus, then pray a believing prayer and command life to come back to those organs, it shall be so.

  1. Dead Marriages

When wine finished in the wedding ceremony, because Jesus was there, He turned water into wine.

If your marriage is dead, divorce is not the solution, resurrection is the solution…

Remember the man that was sick for thirty-eight years, the day he met Jesus was the end of the problems in his life.

Tell that marriage that dry bones shall rise again and if you believe it fully, your marriage will resurrect.

Dead womb or sterile male organ.

All the women looking for children in the bible, when they came to God, they all gave birth even to super children.

Think about Sarah, Racheal, Manoah’s wife, Hannah and the rest of them all gave birth to special children that ruled the nations.

Your own cannot be different.

  1. Dead Life – somebody living a useless life, a nonentity, or any other.

Remember the man with legions of demons, when he met Jesus, he became perfectly whole and his life became meaningful.

God created you for a purpose and that must be fulfilled.

  1. Dead Business

Luke 5:4  Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. 5  And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. 6  And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. 7  And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

Jesus is still the same.

For a fisherman to labour all through the night and cut nothing, what would he give to his wife and children?

Jesus brought abundant into his dead business.

Remember the widow woman –

Ki 4:1  Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen. 2  And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil. 3  Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few. 4  And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full. 5  So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out. 6  And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed. 7  Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.

Her finances and business were dead but resurrection came to her business life and her home.

We serve a living caring God.

  1. Dead Brains – an imbecile, those with lost memories, brain-dead people, those that cannot think straight or plan for themselves.

Jesus is still the POWER of Resurrection. Remember that the manufacturer is the best repairer of any machine.

Dead destinies and visions

Some people’s destinies or visions are dead, for some of them, their destinies had been buried, exchanged, stolen or kept in the coven of darkness.

Jesus is the POWER of Resurrection.

  1. Dead Hope

Gen 21:15  And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs. 16  And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bowshot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept. 17  And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is. 18  Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation. 19  And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.

Because of dead hope, Sarah’s maid moved away from the lad and expecting the boy to die but God who is the Resurrection and Life brought her hope back to life.

Jesus is still the hope of the hopeless.

Whatever situation you are or whatever condition you are going through, remember that Jesus is still the same.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Whatever Jesus had ever done, He can still do. Believe and trust Him and you will never be disappointed.

Go to Him now with faith and full assurance and you r resurrection is waiting for you.

Making marriages work

Genesis 2:18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

Marriage is an institution that was originated by God. If God is not in your marriage, you can try but it may not work.

What must we do?

The major step in marriage is that we must come into Christ and stay in Christ.

When you are resident in Christ, the fruits of the Spirit will manifest through you and your partner too will come into Christ and stay in Christ.

Gal 5:22  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,  23  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Immediately the two of you are resident in Christ, the radiation of love will start to emit from the throne of Grace into your life and family.

Once that starts, joy will follow and peace will take residence in your home.

Reverse The Curse

An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord ; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the Lord for ever:
Deuteronomy 23:3 KJV

Ruth was a Moabite, she must not enter into the congregation of the Lord but she not only entered, she was established there.
And Salmon begat Booz of Rahab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;
Matthew 1:5 KJV
She became one of the only two women in the leanage of our Lord.whatever curse is on your family or generation, come to Christ and dedicate yourself to the cause of Christ and all of the curses shall be overturned for you.

Christ is still the only solution to every problem of man.

At the beginning of a new year, many prophecies are released by Prophets. As a teacher of the word of God, I have somethings for you.

Job 22:28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

John 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

As we look at these promises and our coming into this new year, we can start to operate in new dimensions.

To start with, you are to decree a thing before it can be established. What will you decree this new year?

Deuteronomy 33:25 Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be.

Open your mouth and shout it loud, that your shoes shall be iron and brass because you will tramp on serpents and scorpions this year and they shall all die in the mighty name of Jesus.

Every year, you are growing older, then the word of God says “as thy days, so shall thy strength be.” That means, as you are getting older, you will be getting stronger in your faith and relationship with the Lord, that gives you more power. Remember that strength is power.

Psalms 138:8 The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.

This is a personal message, this is a personal confession, and personal declaration, “The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me”

Whatever concerns you, on health, business, family, and every area of your life, The LORD will perfect it.

Please, let these be your testimony and confession as you love the Lord more and serves Him more this new year.

  • A marked change in form, nature, or appearance.
  • A complete change in the appearance or character of something or someone, especially so that that thing or person is improved:

Transformation according to the dictionary means “a marked change in form, nature or appearance.”  In that light, I need to pray that God will make a sudden transformation in my life now.

The New Year is fast approaching, people will shout ‘happy New Year’ when in the reality everything is either the same or worse than what it was.

We who really need a HAPPY NEW YEAR need to pray that “God, give me transformational and trans-positional change. I do not want to remain as I am”, what about you?

There are cases in the Bible we need to use right now to be able to see the power of God to transform and trans-position.

Gen 32:9  And Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, the LORD which saidst unto me, Return unto thy country, and to thy kindred, and I will deal well with thee: 10  I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies, and of all the truth, which thou hast shewed unto thy servant; for with my staff I passed over this Jordan; and now I am become two bands.

Hear the testimony of Jacob, he said with his rod, that means he had nothing. He came from nothing to something. Now, let us read about the gift he gave to his brother.

Gen 32:13  And he lodged there that same night; and took of that which came to his hand a present for Esau his brother14  Two hundred she goats, and twenty he goats, two hundred ewes, and twenty rams, 15  Thirty milch camels with their colts, forty kine, and ten bulls, twenty she asses, and ten foals.

You cannot give what you do not have. By all estimations this gift is too much. A common person cannot give these as a gift. He was extremely rich, yet, he started with nothing. Can God do that in your life and mine? That is why we must pray!

We shall take another case.

Gen 41:38  And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is? 39  And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art: 40  Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou. 41  And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt. 42  And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph’s hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck; 43  And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt. 44  And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.

In the case of Joseph, his brothers sold him into slavery, then he moved from slavery into imprisonment. The case was very pathetic. No friend, neighbour, or prayer partner to help him. The God he believed and trusted, transformed him and trans-positioned him.

Remember, Potiphar who bought Joseph from the slave market now had to bow before him.  What a transformation power trans-positioned him within a day.

That God is still the God we are serving today.  He is not a partial God and if He did it for Joseph, He will do it for you and I.

Our next example is

1Sa 1:26 And she said, Oh my lord, as thy soul liveth, my lord, I am the woman that stood by thee here, praying unto the LORD. 27  For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him:

Hannah was transformed into motherhood from barrenness, that God who did it wants to do yours now, will you also pray?

Our next example is

2 Samuel 7:1 And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the LORD had given him rest round about from all his enemies;

David was transformed from wilderness into the palace

Est 6:7  And Haman answered the king, For the man whom the king delighteth to honour, 8  Let the royal apparel be brought which the king useth to wear, and the horse that the king rideth upon, and the crown royal which is set upon his head: 9  And let this apparel and horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king’s most noble princes, that they may array the man withal whom the king delighteth to honour, and bring him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaim before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delighteth to honour. 10  Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, and take the apparel and the horse, as thou hast said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, that sitteth at the king’s gate: let nothing fail of all that thou hast spoken.

Mordecai was transformed from the gate to the throne. Remember that the very day he was to die was the very day that God started to promote and honour him. That God is still alive and if He did it for him, He will do yours and mine.

After looking at these five cases you can see that God has the power to transform anybody at anywhere and in any way.  He is the Almighty and can do practically anything and nothing can hinder him.

As you are about to pray, search your life so that there is no secret sin hiding anywhere. If there is, apologize to God and confess pleading the finished work at Calvary. God will forgive you and transform you.

Pray now!!

Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Salvation is deliverance from sin.

The Greek word is sozo – which means, to be delivered, rescued, set free, or to save.

Let us reason together,

If somebody fell into a pool of water and one says, “thank God the man is saved”. What will come to your mind at that time? Will you want to see him in the pool of water?

If someone is in a burning house and somebody says, “thank God the man is saved”. Will you expect him to still be in the fire?

If somebody says that he is saved, the first question must be from where? If you are saved from sins, are you supposed to still live in sins?

Let us look at Paul’s practical question,

Rom 6:1  What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2  God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

A sinner is dead in sins. He is inside and cannot remove himself. A Christian is dead to sin and he has nothing to do with sins any longer.

Today, what do we see?

Somebody who says that he is born again and he is still getting angry, stealing, lying, or still living in immorality.

Is this the salvation Jesus came to pay for?

1Jn 3:4  Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 5  And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 6  Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. 7  Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 8  He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9  Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10  In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

There is no sinning saint just as there is no truthful liar or trustworthy thief.

You are either inside or outside, there is no middle wall.

God expects clean children because His grace can make us perfectly clean.

So, if there is any sin in your live, you are not a Christian.

Now, go to the Lord in humility and confess all known sins to Him in the name of Jesus, He will save you, cleanse and give you the power to go and sin no more.

Do it now because tomorrow may be forever too late.

This is my prayer topic I want to pray upon. It is my own personal prayer topic and you can decide to share it with me. It will benefit you a great deal. Let me read from Hebrew 4: 9 “There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.” 10 “For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.” 11 “Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.”

You see God has made provision for you and for me that we can have rest. Rest is sweet, rest is wonderful. There’s no rest without peace. Rest comes when there is peace and calmness. In a world of turbulence, chaos and anarchy, there can not be rest, but in your life, in your heart, in your family there can be rest in your house. Even when there is chaos and anarchy, around your working place, and business arena, there can be rest in yours. Some will say it is not possible to have rest in this world, this because it is not common, but possible. It is forces of push and pull in life that is affecting all of us. In all these cases we can have rest.

God promised rest and only God can give it. We should decide to possess it and we shall have it.

We shall consider two cases and then pray. The first case we shall consider is David. Remember we have been told Jesus labored, suffered for our rest. Now, David is a great person to consider in the case of rest. If David could have rest, start thinking about yourself.

2Samuel 7: 1 –  “And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the LORD had given him rest round about from all his enemies;” 2  “That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in an house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains.” 3And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in thine heart; for the LORD is with thee”. 9  “And I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies out of thy sight, and have made thee a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth.” 10Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime,” 11And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused thee to rest from all thine enemies. Also the LORD telleth thee that he will make thee an house.”  God is a great God. David came to fight war, God referred to him as MY CAPTAIN. He was made basically for war. And all the lands that God promised Abraham that he will give him, all those lands, David conquered them and claimed them for Israel. But then as he was fighting up and down, a time came in his life that the Bible says that he had rest.  And God Himself also said He had given David rest. Look at it in verse one, we are told God had given David rest round about from all his enemies, not from some of his enemies but from all is enemies

2Samuel 7: 9   “And I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies out of thy sight, and have made thee a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth.”  God said He had cut off all David’s enemies. Is it possible? Oh yes! If it was not possible, He would not do it for him. Since God is not a partial God, whatever He had done for one person, He will do for all. If at a time of war when every thing was war, war, war, at the time of David there were inter-tribal wars, international wars – war, war, war every time. It was war in every place. If at that time God could give rest to David, what about today, can’t He give you rest.

Can’t He give me rest? You say, ‘well my enemies are too many.’ Are they more than those of David? Think about all the enemies of David – the Moabites, the Canaanites, the Jebusites, the Philistines, Saul’s family and every thing. Yet God gave him rest.

My brother, you are to die on the battle ground. You must have a time of relaxation whereby you can worship and magnify the name of the Lord. God gave David rest, why will He not give you rest. When God gave David rest, he was able to think of building a house for God. Rest will make your brain sharp and you will think straight. When God gives you rest you will start thinking about what you can do for God. How you can labour for God, how you can do this and do that. Your brain will become sharp; you will start thinking better than before.

Let’s look at another case.

We are looking at the case of Solomon 1Kings 5: 4But now the LORD my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent.” Praise the Lord! This so clear but I will say it is great and uncommon. He said “But now the LORD my God hath given me rest,” where and how “on every side”. Think about the Northern side, think about the southern side, think about the Western side, think about the Eastern side, think about up and down –“on every side”. The principalities working in the air, the powers in the sea, the workers in darkness with all of them working, still- “on every side”.  And then he said, “so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent.” That is, it was so serious that God had given rest all around. There were wars all over the world of that time but God gave Solomon rest because Solomon had rest he was able to build on to the best edifices of the world. The finishing was superb. Rest is sweet.

When we have rest, we can serve God better. Think faster and be more useful to God, to ourselves, to our families, to our neighbors and to our communities and to our nation. Are you praying? Yes you have to pray now, and say God, give me rest.

But before we pray, I will mention some things. The first one, is

How do we receive rest? Remember where we read first in Hebrews 4: 11 “Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest,” we are told we must labour to enter into that rest. There was a small girl where I was staying some time ago, when you tell her to go and sleep, she will run and jump into the bed. Give her just five to six minutes she is gone. Then you start wondering how someone can rush to go and sleep. Yes, that person is laboring to rest. Now look at the same verse again – Hebrews 4:  11 “Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest,” Hebrews 4:  14  “Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.” 15  “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.16Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”  We are to labour to enter into that rest and we are to hold fast our profession and we should consider our high Priest that there is nobody that can feel for us like Him. With all He went through, with all the temptations He passed through, yet He could stand, which means, we too would stand and we can enjoy that rest. We are also asked to come boldly unto the throne of grace. To have rest, we need to come boldly to the throne of grace. So we can say from this passage, there are some points we can point to;

  1. We have to labour for the rest, work for it, plan for it and discipline yourself for it. You can not just take it for granted and say rest means go and lie down while your enemies are standing outside. You are making yourself a minced meal for the enemy. You will labour to enter into that rest. That is the first thing we are getting from this passage
  2. You must exercise your confidence in God. We are going to read some passage here – 2Ki 6: 14 “Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about.” 15 “And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?” 16 “And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them”. This is a case of confidence in God. Elisha was there, may be he was even having his quiet-time at that time, the servant jump up to find out what was happening and he saw chariots and horses and he quickly ran to disturb the man of God. Then Elisha said, And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them”. This servant of Elisha then had confidence before he could have rest. In the case of Elisha, he had rest; he was not looking at the multitude of the enemies but the strength and faithfulness of God. It is not the problem that is too great but your attitude to the problem that is making tensed and making you not to have Peace. It is not the problem that is big but your attitude.

Follow me to the New Testament and we shall read,

Mar 4:35 And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.

Mar 4:36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.

37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.

38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?

39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

Mar 4: 40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?

Mar 4: 41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

Now, let us see the situation together, in that turbulent area, in that turbulent situation, Jesus was sleeping. He could sleep. When the disciples disturbed him He stopped the wind and talked to them; “Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?” Your problem is not greater than your God. You can have rest, if only you can have confidence in God. Have you forgotten the story of Peter? Let us read it in Acts 12: 5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

6 And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.

7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.

8 And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.

9 And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision.

10 When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him.

11 And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.

Peter was sleeping.  He was in the prison tied to the soldiers and still he could sleep. The death sentence was hanging on his head and still he could sleep. If you were in this situation, would you have slept? Knowing the plans of Herod, would you have slept? Seeing the soldiers around you and remembering how James was killed, would you have slept? May be at that time, we would have been picturing how Herod would call the meeting, command Peter to be brought, and the commanded the executioner to cut off his head. Instead of Peter to be picturing all these, he was sleeping. That is confidence in God.

Let us also consider the case of Paul and Silas, Acts 16:23 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely:

Act 16:24 Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.

Act 16:25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.

Act 16:26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.

Act 16:27  And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.

Act 16:28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.

Act 16:29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,

Act 16:30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

Act 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Paul and Silas were imprisoned after given many merciless stripes of whip. They were thoroughly beaten and their legs were fixed inside stocks. What were they doing in such situation? They were praising God. Why were they praising God? The answer is simple, because of their confidence in God. When there is confidence in God, God will surprise you. That is what gives rest. Confidence will make you to know that your enemies are nothing to God. Look at it again, Elisha had confidence in God, the enemies – the Syrians – were not able to destabilize him. Jesus could rest and even sleep on the troubled sea because He had confidence that nothing would change what He had said. He had already told them, “Let us pass over unto the other side”. He knew nothing could change that statement. Peter was at danger point but he could sleep because of his confidence in God. Paul and Silas were singing in chains inside the dungeon when they could have been weeping or questioning God. Exercise your confidence in God.

For God to give you rest, you must give Him implicit, prompt, and complete obedience in all areas of life. This was the secret of all the battles of David. He would stand on the side of God and obey God completely. No wonder, he could have rest. If you want rest, you must target the glory of God in whatever you are doing then believe God’s plan for your life. Do not look down on God’s plan for your life because if you do not change God’s plan for your life, no man can change it. God has a plan and program for your life; believe it and God will do something wonderful in your life.

To have rest, fight every trace of sorrow with all your might. Sorrow comes not because of the problems you have but your attitude to your problem. Whatever is giving you sorrow; fight it because it is your enemy. As you fight sorrow, your rest will come. You see sorrow is a very terrible enemy. Sorrow is a great enemy. Sorrow paralyses our brains. Sorrow works against our mind, heart, our blood system, and our nerves; so all the nervous system could be affected seriously whenever sorrow is working you. Joy liberates us. Joy set us free. Joy releases us. Joy makes us to think better, joy makes us to work better; joy makes us to work in a beautiful arena. The blood circulation is better when there is joy. The heart pumps better when there is joy, the lungs work well and the nervous system. They all work better when we are in joy. Therefore when we start fighting sorrow in every area of our life, we will see that rest will come. Agitations will be out and serenity will take over. So then after you have taken this six steps, then you will have to say “Lord give me rest.” If you will be serious about it, God will do it now. You can now start praying, please include every area of your life and as you trust God; it will be to you even according to your faith.
